Jeff shares a birthday with patriot Nathan Hale, the Dalai Lama, actors Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund, Harvey Fierstein, and Sandra Bernhard; and guitarist Steve Vai.

Jeff's path to marketing began with his passion for music. Recognized with prodigious talent at an early age, he started on piano at three, guitar at seven, violin at eight and cello at thirteen. As a teenager, Jeff played in several local bands and learned about music technology and recording techniques through trial and error (not necessarily in that order, though).
|
Taking his musicianship seriously (which is usually a huge mistake), Jeff attended Berklee College of Music and Musician's Institute before enrolling at Cal State Dominguez Hills. He went on to get his bachelor's in music (receiving honors within his major), with a minor in communications.

Straight out of school, Jeff became one of the tiny percentage of people who actually apply their college area of focus to their profession by being hired at Alesis, a young and innovative audio products manufacturer. Jeff would spend the next seven years at Alesis, marketing some of the most successful products in the history of the industry in their respective categories.

|
Alesis greatly expanded the markets perception of their core competencies several times under Jeffs marketing management. Known earlier as a small designer of signal processors and drum machines, Alesis became a world leader in such diverse categories as recording products, synthesizer keyboard instruments, studio monitor speakers and microphones during Jeff's tenure.

No piece of dry paper can be folded in half more than seven times. That has nothing to do with Jeff specifically, but we thought you could use a break from this tedious monolog. Anyway...
